Three new bridges are to be built for the Günzburg State Garden Show in 2029, which will also serve to make the network of footpaths and cycle paths more attractive after the garden show. We are delighted that the designs we developed together with mayr ludescher for the “Three footbridges for the Günzburg State Garden Show” competition have been awarded two first prizes and one second prize!

The basic idea behind our designs for the Danube footbridge (1st prize), the Günz footbridge (1st prize) and the Kappelzipfel footbridge (2nd prize) is to integrate attractive structures with the character of an urban connection respectfully and sensitively into the high-quality natural environment of the Danube, the Günz and its banks.

The jury emphasized the “restrained, clear and elegant appearance and integration into the landscape” of the two winning designs.
