Exchange place of knowledge

Today, knowledge and innovations are created more than ever in networks and through collaborations. Diverse impulses and the experience of different, overarching perspectives and life concepts are essential drivers. In addition to institutional collaborations and as a complement to virtual cooperation, real places of encounter and exchange are gaining increasing importance. Work, learning, and knowledge spaces are no longer limited to traditional structures but expand into urban spaces, the public sphere, and even the private realm.

Our competition entry for the expansion of the existing Heilbronn Education Campus responds to these developments. The key design idea: interweaving university facilities with office and commercial occupation, as well as university-related student housing, and complementing them with public sports, leisure, cultural, and recreational spaces. The aim is to create a new campus that serves as a hub for knowledge exchange and fosters an innovation-friendly environment to educate talents for the future. A place that provides interfaces to both the business world and society.
