What are the special (structural) features of the Haus des Tourismus and how can the principles of ‘New Work’ be seen and experienced there? Our Managing Director Cem Arat discussed these topics with Christine Schönhuber and Armin Dellnitz during a panel discussion at the Tourism Day organised by Tourismus Marketing GmbH Baden-Württemberg in the New Palace.

The Haus des Tourismus on Stuttgart’s market square will be completed in a few months and is already an outstanding example of building in existing structures. During the transformation of the former fashion store, almost the entire shell was retained, while the necessary extensions and the additional storey were realised in timber construction.

In future, the building will be home to both Stuttgart Marketing GmbH and Tourismus Marketing GmbH BW. The building is open to the public and, with its tourist information centre and catering concepts, marks a lively urban building block in the immediate vicinity of Stuttgart City Hall.
