Exhibition opening: ‘Liveable City – 28 Examples of Urban Development in Denmark’

What makes a city liveable? Answers can be found in the exhibition ‘Liveable City – 28 x Urban Development in Denmark’ organised by the Royal Danish Embassy in Berlin, which will be on display at the Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart from 1 to 16 October in cooperation with the Landesinitiative Baukultur BW (State Initiative for Building Culture). The exhibition will be opened with a vernissage on Tuesday, 30 September at 4 p.m.
In addition to a welcome address by Gerhard Ziegler, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Denmark in Stuttgart, and an introduction by Brigitte Tovborg-Jensen from the Royal Danish Embassy in Berlin, there will be a keynote speech by Markus Weismann. Under the title ‘Urban Development in Denmark and Germany,’ he will talk about the differences between German and Danish planning and participation cultures. The exhibition will be opened by Ministerial Director Dr Schneider from the Ministry of Regional Development and Housing BW. This will be followed at 5.30 p.m. by a screening of the documentary film ‘The Human Scale’ with Jan Gehl.
