Recognition of the ‘Bildungscampus Süd Heilbronn’ design competition

We are delighted to receive recognition for our design, developed in collaboration with Treibhaus Landschaftsarchitektur, in the implementation competition with the concept section ‘Bildungscampus Süd Stadt Heilbronn’ (South Heilbronn Education Campus)! The competition was prompted by the desire for an urban redevelopment of the centrally located area in the city centre.

The urban development concept reconnects the educational campus, city centre and banks of the Neckar River, strengthening Heilbronn’s position as a future-oriented city of knowledge with a high quality of life. The central element is the Campus Park, a green heart that combines local recreation, climate adaptation and sustainable land use, creating new connections to the river. A mixed-use neighbourhood with education, housing, sports and public ground floor zones promotes urbanity and social diversity. Short distances, a low-traffic campus and strong connections to pedestrian, bicycle and eco-friendly transport support sustainable mobility. The concept is complemented by blue-green infrastructure, sponge city principles and circular, resource-efficient construction.
