The Stadtwerke Stuttgart Group’s new EnergieCampus is inaugurated!
July 2024
The new headquarters of the Stadtwerke Stuttgart Group was inaugurated and presented to the public for the first time during a large inauguration ceremony in the past few days. For the first time, Stadtwerke Stuttgart, Stuttgart Netze and the energy services of the state capital Stuttgart are now united in one place – the EnergieCampus. In addition to the managing directors of Stadtwerke Stuttgart and Stuttgart Netze, our Managing Director Cem Arat and Lord Mayor Frank Nopper were also present.
Hardly noticeable from the outside, we have transformed the premises in the existing building in Stuttgart Wangen into an attractive headquarters for visitors and employees alike, which demonstrates in an exciting way what is possible in terms of sustainability, digitalization and the energy transition. In addition to a modern working environment over six floors, a canteen, a mobility hub with a large-scale photovoltaic system on the roof and façade as well as storage and workshop areas, there is also a new, innovative customer center.
The so-called EnergyPlaza with showroom gives visitors exciting real-time insights into the energy flows and lots of information on the subject of energy generation and use. Bright, flexibly designed rooms, simple, deconstructable structures and the use of natural wood create added value for people and the environment.
