Wendler factory in Reutlingen awarded contract

We are delighted to have been awarded the contract for the feasibility study for the Wendler factory in Reutlingen and to be able to continue supporting the project in the future. The former Wendler brothers’ textile factory is located on the banks of the Echaz river and borders Reutlingen city centre. Currently, parking spaces occupy most of the open space and there is a lack of connections to the surrounding neighbourhoods. Both the Echaz river and the historic Triebwerkskanal canal are currently virtually inaccessible. The building structures, some of which feature valuable industrial façades, offer the opportunity for moderate redensification.
Our concept, developed in collaboration with Treibhaus Landschaftsarchitektur, envisages a comprehensive and integrative redevelopment of the area into an innovative and green urban quarter that is embedded in the overall urban fabric by strengthening and continuing existing landscape spaces.
